2015 Art Contest: The ATP’s 3rd Birthday, Christmas, etc.

What’s popping adventurers? How was your holiday?

You already know that it’s Christmas (and other holidays) season, but it’s almost the ATP’s birthday as well! To be specific, our 3rd birthday is on December 30th.

So, in celebration of these events, we are hosting… you guessed it… an art contest! Rules are below.

1. The contest starts now and will end on January 13th (SD’s birthday btw 😉 ). -It will now end Monday, January 18th-
2. All entries must have a Poptropica, Adventure Time, or ATP related theme. Bonus points for incorporating the ATP’s birthday, Christmas, New Years, or some other recent holiday in your artwork.
3. Please send all entries to the ATP’s email, or submit your work on Deviant Art and tag SydVC (Spotted Dragon). We will also be keeping a look out on the We Love Poptropica dA group as best we can. If you submit your entry any other way, please try to contact us because we may not see it.
4. Everyone’s art will be shown in a post, but the winner will receive artwork of the entire ATP team with the winner, made by Spotted Dragon. 2nd and 3rd place will receive an icon of their Poptropican made by Silver Wolf. Details will be discussed through the winners’ emails.

Island Hopper Sweepstakes, Prison Pictures, and More!

LOTS of Poptropica stuff to cover today! First up, the Island Hopper Sweepstakes.

From today until December 31, we’ve hidden one Island Hopper Ticket in every common room on Poptropica. Each ticket that you collect counts as one entry into the sweepstakes. There are over 40 tickets to find, which means you have over 40 chances to win!

20 runner-ups will receive a Poptropica Blimp Toy, as well as a 1-month Poptropica Membership. 10 2nd-place winners will receive a 6-month Membership. Finally, the grand-prize winner will get to meet Jeff Kinney in a 30 minute long video call, receive a Poptropica Blimp Toy, AND get a 6-month Membership.

In addition to this, there is also a weekly sweepstakes, where 5 winners will be chosen every week to receive a 1-month Membership.

Remember to read the Official Rules for more details because it ends on December 31! All winners are chosen at random.

In other news, you can now visit Escape from Pelican Rock Island for a little sneak peek! On the island, you can talk to a few Poptropicans to earn prizes AND you can visit the Prison Break themed Photo Booth!

Golden Typhoon didn’t just make a great werewolf costume — she also posed it mid-transformation for a dramatic photo. Look how the other wolves are welcoming the newest member of their pack! Creepy!

Best Halloween Party – Speedy Knuckle

Judging by the entries we received in this category, Poptropicans know how to get down! Please invite us to all of your future parties. Our winner was Speedy Knuckle, whose composition and character poses made for a rockin’ good time.

Funniest Photo – Tall Kid

Tons of hilarious entries in this category. In the end, we had to give the top spot to Tall Kid, who gave us three monsters (and two bats) chasing a poor Poptropican in a hot dog costume. We always knew that would get you in the end.

Most Creative Photo – Smart Glove

Every photo we got was creative. Smart Glove zoomed out to show Halloween from a perspective we hadn’t really seen before.

Scariest Photo – Maroon Bird

The Jersey Devil found his way into a lot of the scariest photos, but it was Maroon Bird’s contribution to the Slenderman tale that earned top honors in this category.

Poptropica Halloween Photo Contest & More

Hey guys, SD here! Remember how some spooky new features were added to the Poptropica Photo Booth? Well it looks like there’s more to it!

Yes, Poptropica is having a Halloween Photo Booth Challenge and anyone can enter! Just create any spooky picture in the photo booth. As you can see in the image above, there are 5 categories that you have a chance of winning.

• Best Halloween Party
• Scariest Photo
• Funniest Photo
• Most Creative Photo
• Best Costume

There will be one winner and five runner-ups for each category. All of the winners/runner-ups will be featured on social media, while the main winners will be temporarily added to the photo booth. That means anyone will get to use the winners’ Poptropicans in their pictures AND their winning photos will be featured as templates.

Once you’ve made your perfect picture, just hit the “Submit Your Photo to the Halloween Photo Booth Challenge” button. Remember, the contest lasts from October 23-28, so don’t miss out!

In other news, there is a new Pets Package available in the Poptropica app! For only $0.99 you can have your very own pet! And don’t forget that you can import your online Poptropican’s look into the app. 😉

Lastly, if my calculations are correct #BacktotheFutureDay was this past Wednesday. Of course Poptropica had to celebrate, so they shared the image above. Woah… I guess the future… is now that past… that’s kinda weird. So, um, why don’t we have hover-boards yet…? XD

Happy 8th Birthday Poptropica!

EDIT: You can now get the 8th Birthday Balloon in the Poptropica Store! You can also visit any Common Room to find another 8th B-day Balloon! Once found, click it to pop it and you will earn the an item that allows you to hold/throw cake and turn Poptropicans into pigs.

Yep, it’s that time of year! September marks the birth-month of our favorite online game. This year, Poptropica is turning 8 years old, which makes me feel like an old lady. 😛

To celebrate this amazing occasion, you can now get an 8th Birthday Balloon on the Poptropica app, which will also soon be available in the online version soon. However, if you already have the Balloons item card, you can get the 8th b-day balloon online right now! 🙂

To make the month even better, a World Champions Live Map is going to be put up for Early Poptropica Island! So go play now!!! The Creators will let us know as soon as the map is up. Plus, if you’re new to Poptropica, you can earn 200 credits when you first complete the island.

Meanwhile, PHB author Slippery Raptor created what he wanted to be the 8th Birthday Costume and HPuterepop made a slightly edited version.

No matter what prizes we get this month, I’m just glad Poptropica had been around this long. It would have never been this successful without its AMAZING fan base. The game may be targeted for younger kids, but I have met many awesome Poptropicans and am super grateful for our little community. So… HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPTROPICA!!!

Daily 2 Week Pop-In

Big news in the world of Poptropica!

The Poptropica Creators are giving us a special treat every single day for 2 weeks!!! Okay, okay, let me explain. 😛

Every weekday, from Monday, July 27 to Friday, August 7, you can get a free prize when you log into Poptropica! Each day, a promo code will be shown on the Poptropica Map, which you will then be able to enter into the promo code box in the Poptropica Store.

The prizes are different each day and are only available the day the promo code is given. So, remember to check back each day! You could get credits, or a costume, or an item of sorts, or some other cool gift!

Once it has finished, we will post a recap of the prizes.

Adventure Time at Comic Con: 2015

Hey guys! All the San Diego Comic Con 2015 hype is dying down, so I thought that it was time to post about the Adventure Time panel!

Note that the panel is a mix of Adventure Time and Steven Universe. Also, the entire video is really long so… just be prepared.

Okay, if you didn’t want to watch the entire thing, here are some highlights from the panel! I will also go over additional info I gathered from around the internet. Of course, this excludes the Steven Universe related information.

April Fools: 2015

Hey guys! If you didn’t notice, the ATP has been in “unavailable” mode for a while. It wasn’t much, but we still wanted to mess with your brain. If you visited the ATP any time around April 1st, you would have been brought to an unavailable page with unavailable images.

Well, all of that it cleared up now! I know, I know, it wasn’t the best “prank” but I think everyone was just having too much fun the the PHB’s April Fools Day Prank! < Go to their post for more info on the fun.

ATP’s 2nd Birthday Party Recap!

The ATP’s 2nd Birthday Party is now over, but it was a ton of fun! If you didn’t make it, we’re sorry, but you are welcome to come next time. The party was very small, but we still had a blast. 🙂

We played Pictionary on Xat, chatted, and listened to music on Plug.DJ. Plus, Brave Sky and I may have had a small butterfly war on Poptropica… 😛 A lot of AMVs were played by yours truly and so many other amazing videos were shared.

Like I said, it wasn’t a huge party, but it sure was fun. I want to thank everyone who showed up! I hope you had fun! I also want to thank Silver Wolf for letting us use her Xat. 😉
