The Escape of Sneak Peeks & More

Hiya, Silver Wolf here, and there’s a bit to talk about! Read on to find out the top 10 finishers of Escape from Pelican Rock, missing sneak peeks, and more.

EPR RobberyEscape from Pelican Rock for All

Escape from Pelican Rock was released to everyone on December 30th! So if you’re a non-Member or Member, you can play it anytime you want. I also wanted to do what I used to and highlight the first 10 finishers of EPR Island, so here they are in a slideshow:

It looks like the Pathfinders won this time. There’s definitely no bias here (go Seraphim!) 😉

Sneak Peeks

The fascinating thing about the sneak peeks recently is that some have gone missing, including “Deplane” and “Sack Lunch.” They’re no longer in the Daily Pop, but they are still in the files with their assigned date. However, one of the sneak peeks isn’t even in the files, and that’s the “In the Club” photo. It does have its description and name, though, showing that is was once there. If you go to the Daily Pop and look through the sneak peeks, there will be a plain blue screen between “Fireside Chat” and Light Show,” which is where it once was. Maybe the Creators don’t want them to be seen yet? Either way, it’s odd.

Anyway, there have been quite a lot of jungle and plane sneak peeks on the Daily Pop. They definitely seem related, which is mainly due to one specific sneak peek that has both the jungle theme and a plane. Here they are:

They all seem connected, but the sneak peek with the characters has one named “Thelma or Louise,” based off the movie Thelma and Louise released in 1991. It may be just an easter egg for people who know the movie, but I thought it was interesting. 😛 Some other characters don’t seem to fit either, like “Old Pro” and “Red Barbarian.”

Happy New Year’s!

Happy New Year'sI think I can say for all of us that we wish you a Happy New Year’s! Hopefully this year I’ll be able to post more and be more active in the community, which is probably my New Year’s resolution. I also need to catch up on my island medallions…hmm… What’s your resolution?

ATP Birthday (Christmas) Party!!!

ATP party 5

Hey guys! The time has come! On December 30, 2012 I made the first post here on Adventure Time Pop. The site wasn’t much back then, but thanks to you guys, we currently have over 63,000 hits! Seriously, it means a lot. I also want to thank my awesome authors. I can’t do much to show how thankful I am, so throwing parties and making posts is the least I can do. 😛

Anyway, as you can see in the image above, we are having a birthday party on Saturday, December 27 at 7:30pm EST! We will be chatting on Poptropica Tips for Poptropicans’ Xat (thanks Wolfy!), playing games on a Poptropica Multiverse (it will be created during the party), and listening to music on our very own Plug.DJ room. Xat is free for all, there is no need to make an account. On Plug.DJ, you do need to make an account, but it is also free. Of course, this will also be a Christmas/New Years themed party as well.

Everyone is invited, so we really hope you can make it! 😀

Happy holidays!

Happy New Years from Pop & AT!

Well, the ATP team has said Happy New Year over and over and I’m sure you’ve heard it a lot out of the blogging world. Now you get a good old Happy New Year from Cartoon Network (AT) and Poptropica! If you haven’t seen their posts already.

Happy New Year!

Captain Crawfish checking in to wish everyone a happy new year!

We had a pretty wild 2013 around here. Over the past year, we’ve made a lot of improvements to Poptropica. We’ve now got a bigger screen, music and sound effects, and a lot of other things to make your Poptropica experience even better.

But we’re not stopping there. In 2014 we’ll be introducing even more great Poptropica content. More Islands. More of the features you’ve been waiting for. More ways to play Poptropica, at home and on the go. We’re excited to bring it all to you.

Happy New Year to all. We’re ready for a great 2014!

2013 is coming to a close. That means it’s time to take a look back at the biggest laughs, most shocking surprises, and heartbreakingest heartaches of the year. Count down Cartoon Network’s top 13 moments of 2013!

13. Total Drama Sunk the Island
Total Drama All-Stars brought back fourteen of the top competitors from past seasons and pitted them against each other in a “Heroes vs. Villains” theme. We were expecting lots of mayhem, but we were totally surprised in the finale when they sunk the entire island! Camp Wawanakwa is no more, but Chris McLean claims there will be a Season 6. Where in the world will it take place?

12. Gumball’s First Kiss
Gumball’s first kiss didn’t go exactly as planned. It wasn’t on a beach. It didn’t involve violin music. It wasn’t even with Penny! All he got was a face full of Carmen… the cactus. Love hurts in The Amazing World of Gumball. WATCH A CLIP >

11. The Omnitrix Unlocked More New Aliens
Ben’s Omnitrix got a little more crowded this year with the addition of several new aliens. High flier Astrodactyl lashed out with his energy whip. The alien formerly known as Benmummy got a makeover into Snare-Oh. Bullfrag beat the invading Incurseans at their own game. And the amazing Atomix took his power level to 11. WATCH A CLIP >

10. Uncle Grandpa Joined the Family
Another new addition to the Cartoon Network lineup was everyone’s favorite relative, Uncle Grandpa. Uncle Grandpa is everyone on Earth’s magical uncle AND grandpa, who travels around helping people. We’re just glad we have an excuse to wear our belly bags, rainbow suspenders and propeller beanies.

9. Mordecai and Rigby Gave Thanks Their Own Special Way
How many shows have Thanksgiving specials? Only one we can think of: Regular Show! Mordecai and Rigby pulled off one of their greatest adventures to save Thanksgiving for the whole gang. Nevermind that it was Mordecai and Rigby who destroyed Thanksgiving in the first place.

8. Steven Universe Shined
Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl and Steven entered our universe this year! Steven is a goofy oddball with magical powers that come out of his bellybutton. We can’t wait for another year of magical adventures with the Crystal Gems. Believe it! WATCH A CLIP >

7. Ben 10′s Evil Twin Returned
Ben’s evil twin, Albedo, sure made things interesting in the Omniverse. First, he convinced the Plumbers to lock up the real Ben, and then he got the Ultimatrix up and running again. But even with Ultimate aliens, Albedo couldn’t defeat the one and only Ben Tennyson. Let’s celebrate with chili fries for everyone! WATCH A CLIP >

6. Jake Became a Dad
Lady Rainicorn and Jake the Dog became proud parents of five adorable pups on Adventure Time. Charlie, T.V., Viola, Kim Kil Whan, and Jake Jr. sure grew up fast. Remember when Jake Jr. kidnapped herself to get Jake back into a life of crime? They’re so cute at that age. WATCH A CLIP >

5. Beast Boy Crushed on Terra
Beast Boy’s devotion to the traitorous Terra in Teen Titans Go! had us cracking up. It was a classic story of boy meets girl, girl asks for Titans security codes, boy falls for girl, girl insists on getting a schematic of the Titans defense capabilities. Ahh, young love. But the most important thing to come out of that episode was that Raven finally admitted that she likes BB! WATCH A CLIP >

4. Margaret Left for College
Just like you guys, we enjoyed watching the progression of the Mordecai/Margaret relationship. But when Mordecai finally got up the nerve to ask Margaret to be his girlfriend, she broke the news that she was heading off to college and broke his heart in the process. Hang in there, Mordo.

3. Finn & Jake Got a Balloon
Finn and Jake joined the cast of classic cartoon characters in the 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The thing is more than three stories tall and took 90 balloon handlers. It’s kind of a big deal.

2. Regular Show Hit 100
Regular Show marked a massive milestone this year with its 100th episode. And it was a real doozy! When angry geese invaded the park, Mordecai and Rigby had to call on their old friends the baby ducks for help. And only Regular Show could start with a waterfowl rivalry and end up with a gigantic kaiju battle. WATCH A CLIP >

1. Finn & FP Broke Up
Ya blew it, Finn. You really blew it. I guess Cosmic Owl dreams are pretty amazing because Finn picked a fight between Ice King and Flame Princess just to finish one. Wow, did that plan backfire. The epic elemental battle had us mesmerized, and the break up broke our hearts. That’s why Finn and Flame Princess split was the #1 moment of the year! WATCH A CLIP >
